Interaction builds Pandemic Preparedness Capacity Map

The Pandemic Preparedness Capacity Map is a new tool built by InterAction and USAID. The map shows by country NGO projects already operational in the field and their various capacities that can be called upon for collaboration and resources in the case of a disaster situation.

USAID's first open source challenge now became even easier to enter. Any interested innovator can enter an idea for an innovative mobile technology application that can benefit people in developing countries  at www.netsquared.org/usaid until December 5th.

In a signal that innovative technologies will play a prominent role in domestic and foreign policy, President-elect Obama has announced that he will appoint a Chief Technology Off. It is uncertain at this point whether the new CTO will be a cabinet level position.
